Full Description

During archaeological monitoring and recording of trial pits at the Market Place, Boston in July 2010 by Archaeological Project Services, a sherd of 13th to 14th century pottery was found in trial pit 2 and two sherds of medieval roof tile were found in trial pit 4. {1}{2} Sherds of 12th-13th century pottery, leather items including shoe fragments and leatherworking off-cuts, and ceramic building material were recovered from Medieval occupation and alluvial flood layers at Boston Market Place during archaeological monitoring and recording of resurfacing works between October 2011 and July 2012. {3}{4}
