Description

A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during refurbishment work at Boston marketplace. A sequence of occupation layers interspersed with alluvial flood deposits was noted. Sherds of 13th-14th century pottery were recovered from the lower occupation layers, along with leather items and fragments of roof tile. Medieval pottery and ceramic building material was recovered from every layer. {1}{2}
