Full Description

An archaeological building recording was undertaken in October 2011 by Humber Field Archaeology prior to demolition and refurbishment of farm buildings associated with Rectory Farm. Building C is brick with a pantile roof. It was built after 1887 with the exception of some rubble stone walls which are remnants of a building recorded on the 1887 map. This demolished building was probably built in the 18th century and may have been a farmhouse. It was probably demolished during the supposed clearance of Usselby village in order to build Usselby Hall in the 18th century. It is unclear what Building C was used for. {1}{2}
