Full Description

A pit which contained 14th to 16th century pottery, two buried soils which were associated with 12th to 15th century pottery, a pit and a post hole which are probably medieval as they cut into the buried soils and two features which contained medieval pottery were found during trial trenching in 2011. {1}{2} A pit containing 11th to 12th century pottery was found during further work on the site. A second pit containing 15th to 16th century pottery and a south-west to north-east aligned ditch containing mid 13th to 14th century pottery was also found. {3}{4}
