Full Description
PRN 56422
This complex of farm buildings consists of a U shaped range around a crew yard and an adjacent L shaped range. The buildings are constructed of red brick with pantile roofs. The oldest building, and core of the U shaped range, is probably the large threshing barn which is likely to be late 18th or early 19th century in date. The rest of the buildings, which include barns, stores, a grain dryer, animal shelters and a cart shed, are probably of 19th century and later date and represent several phases of construction, repair and alteration. A survey of these buildings was carried out in 2010 prior to their conversion. {1}{2}
Hardings Farm (Harding Farm), Linwood. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with multiple regular yards. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {3}
