Two redeposited sherds of medieval pottery were found in August 2009, during archaeological monitoring of new development at The Sycamores, South Street. Both sherds were recovered from topsoil deposits, and comprised a base and rim piece from two Toynton Medieval Ware jugs of late 13th to 16th century date. {1}{2}
