Full Description

This Wesleyan Methodist chapel is built of brick and limestone and has an attractive Gothic gable end facing the road. The first chapel was built in 1804 (although it is unclear whether this is the same building). It is considered to be of Townscape Value within the Conservation Area. {1} The chapel was first built in 1804 and enlarged in 1813. It was rebuilt to seat 640 in 1820. It was rebuilt again in 1901 to seat 500. {2}{3}
