Full Description

The Angel Inn dates to at least 1785, when an auction to sell off two plots of land was held at the inn. {1} The building is constructed of brick with white render. The roof is hipped with tiles and slopes dow to the rear. The ground floor front elevation consists of a slightly off-centre doorway which is flanked by two sash windows to the left and two sash windows to the right. The first floor front elevation has a further four sash windows. {2} The Angel Inn was once the home of the Barkham family. This building is considered to be of Townscape Value within the Conservation Area. {3}
