These two cottages were designed in 1848 by Henry Roberts as model cottages on behalf of the Society for Improving the Condition of the Labouring Classes. They have been altered, but one still retains the remains of an inscribed stone tablet. These unlisted buildings are considered to be of particular local significance. {1}
