PRN 50610 THORPE MILL WAS A CORN MILL OF 1790 ON THE RIVER RASE IN THE S OF THE VILLAGE OF TEALBY AND IT RETAINS ITS MACHINERY IN WORKING ORDER. IT IS BEING RESTORED. IT IS A TWO STOREY BRICK BUILDING WITH A BREAST SHOT WHEEL IN ITS NORTHERN END. {1} A TWO STOREY BRICK WATER MILL. INSIDE, IRON COLUMNS AND TIMBER BEAMS AND THE ORIGINAL MACHINERY OF 1790. {2} 17th century watermill with alterations carried out c. 1760 and in the 19th century, constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and red brick with a pantile roof. The interior machinery, dating to c. 1760, is intact and in good working order.
