Full Description
A meeting house and burial ground of the Society of Friends are known to have existed in Tumby Woodside, although their exact location is uncertain. There is a reference to the metting house with adjoining burial ground in 1684. The Monthly Meeting donated money for the repair of the meeting house in 1698 and it was again repaired in 1741. The meeting was discontinued in 1783 but the building was still standing until roughly the middle of the 20th century. {1}
