PRN 25553 This is a monument identified as of historical interest by the South Holland District Council Local List. It is a good example of this style of monument of this period and survives with only a few changes to its original construction. {1}{2} Fleet war memorial is located in Fleet Hargate, on Old Main Road, opposite the Bull public house at the western end of the road. The memorial honours all those who served in the First World War and those who died in the Second World War. It stands at over fifteen feet (four and a half metres) and is made up of an obelisk supporting a tapered runic cross flanked by stone panels which bear the inscriptions of the names. The memorial was unveiled in 1921. {3}
