Full Description

A late 17th century house, now derelict, which underwent some alterations in the 19th century. It was constructed of red brick laid in irregular English bond and has a pantile roof and slightly raised brick coped gables with kneelers and single ridge stack. Has a L-shaped plan form, and of two storeys with garret having stone plinth, first floor brick band and dog tooth eaves course and gable band. The principal range is of 2 bays having a timber cross mullioned window to left and a segmental headed glazing bar sash to right. To first floor are 2 blocked window openings. The slightly later secondary cross wing has an off-centre 19th century panelled door with to right a segmental headed glazing bar sash. To first floor are 2 further similar windows. The interior has an upper room with later 17th century full height softwood panelling and a stair with splat balusters. In the kitchen are moulded principal beams. The roofs are of clasped purlin construction.
