Full Description

A former lychgate, now gateway and wall, built in 1862 by J. Croft of Islington. It was constructed of ashlar and rockfaced limestone and has a plain tile roof with a shaped timber bargeboard. There is a central pointed archway with decorative motifs on the voussoirs,which is flanked by battered buttresses supporting capitals and floral decoration. {1}
