Full Description

PRN 55652 Primary school and house built as the National School in 1859-60 by Maugham and Fowler. The school is constructed of brick with a tiled roof. There are two plaques on the walls, one inscribed 'Caistor Parochial School 1859' and the other with a dedication inscription recording the 'friends of Mr James Green Dixon' who had the school built. There is also a Star of David diaperwork design in coloured brick worked into one wall. There are two separate doorways, one labelled 'boys' and the other 'Girls'.
