Full Description

A public house, built in c.1840 from yellow brick with ashlar dressings. It has hipped slate roofs, with four wall stacks. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} A historic building recording was undertaken at the New Inn, 2 High Street, Great Limber in February 2013. The inn is made up of three units; a two storey main block, flanked each side with a wing. Successive extensions are also in evidence. The inn had its origins in a smaller building dating from before 1842 but it was quickly extended. By 1910 the Inn was also being used as a farmhouse with agricultural outbuildings to the rear. {2}{3}
