Full Description

Former public house dating from the 16th century, with 17th, late 18th and 19th century alterations. Now in use as a private residence. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, and features pantile roofs with raised stone coped gables and two gable chimney stacks. It is laid to a T-shaped plan form, and is of two storeys, with a three-bay front with central 20th century door. The rear range has a steeper pitched roof, and a four-light ovolo moulded mullioned window. The interior retained a mid 18th century panelled corner cupboard with fluted pilasters and cornice. Small moulded stone fireplace surround. Chamfered beam with ogee stops in front range and deeply chamfered beam with ogee stop in rear range.
