Full Description

PRN 38606 This building includes 4 Red Lion Street, which is probably of 17th century date, and 3 and 4 Crown Street to the rear. The Red Lion Street side is constructed of coursed rubble which has been repointed and has a slate roof and an early 19th century shop front. The Crown Street frontage is constructed of ashlar stone. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} The Crown Street house dates to the mid 18th century. It has a timber framed wing to the rear, facing Red Lion Street, which may have been incorporated later. The street front is designed with the lower storey different from the upper. The interior has one room with 18th century panelling. {2}
