Description
1. 1671 RED LION STREET (North Side) No 4 TF 0207 1/84 22.5.54. II GV 2. Probably C17. Coursed rubble, repointed. Gabled to road; gable top rendered. Stone slate roof. Left quoin rusticated. Gable has one window, moulded flush frame, double-hung sash with glazing bars. Similar window on 1st floor and small modern window. Early C19 shop window and half-glazed door with rectangular fanlight. Rear elevation is Nos 3 and 4 CROWN STREET. Ashlar. 2 storeys and 2 hipped dormers, 4 windows, 2 blocked, moulded surrounds and rusticated keystones to upper storey. Stone band and moulded stone plinth. Triple keystones to 2 ground floor windows, glazing bars. 2 6-panel doors that of No 3 having a 2-light rectangular fanlight and triple keystone. Nos 1 to 4 (consec) form a group.
