Full Description

Grade II listed house, dating from 1767 and altered in about 1825. It is red brick, chequered red and cream brick and coursed ironstone rubble and has a pantile roof with a single gable stack and tall central ridge stack on the 18th century east range, and slate hipped roofs with three lateral brick stacks on 19th century west range. Loose courtyard with four sides of the courtyard formed by working agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {2}
