PRN 37977 Two 16th century houses (one building) with 18th century front and numerous internal features of interest including an early 17th century wall painting, fireplaces and panelled rooms. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} The building has recently reverted to one house after being known as No.1 and 2 Church Street. Recently, a small hole or chamber was found under the floor in the first floor room and rare, mid 16th century wall paintings were found in 1967 in the house. The building now houses the Kings School 'Centre for Industrial Studies'. {2}
