Full Description
Grade II* listed cascade, dating from the early 18th century. It is a channel which is approximately two metres wide and fifteen metres long and is built of natural rock. It is probably part of the garden reconstruction carried out by Sir John Brownlow, Viscount Tyrconnel, about 1702 to 1754, and if so, it is contemporary with the Gothick ruin and cascade in the Wilderness (qv). For the full description of this listed building please refer to the National Heritage List for England. {1}
