Full Description

Grade II listed house, dating from the late 18th century although the front dates from 1835. It is red brick with ashlar dressings and has a slate roof with stone coped gables and stacks. For the full description of this listed building please refer to the National Heritage List for England. {1} Red House, Hougham. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of U plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association with a hamlet. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
