Description
SK 84 SE HOUGHAM CHURCH LANE (west side) 5/48 The Red House II House; late C18 with front of 1835; red brick with ashlar dressings, slate roof with stone coped gables and stacks. T plan. 2 storeys with stone plinth, 1st floor band, moulded cornice, and plain brick parapet. 3 bay front with quoins having C20 glazed door flanked by plain pilasters with cornice over. To either side are single glazing bar sash windows with splayed gauged lintels and keystones. Above are 3 similar windows. Over the central window in the parapet is a stone plaque inscribed JCT 1835 (John Charles Thorold). Listing NGR: SK8867344670
