Full Description

Grade II listed limestone ashlar spring head, dating from 1688 and altered in the mid 19th century. There is a small circular chamber over the spring, which is entered through a segment headed chamfered arch. This front has a slightly raised centre with a chamfered band above. Above is a moulded top with scroll work and a central scroll inscribed 1688. Before the well is a pool with battered ashlar sides.
