Description
TF 00 NE UFFINGTON MAIN STREET ( south side ) 9/301 The Spring GV II A spring head. 1688 and mid C19. Limestone ashlar. A small circular chamber over the spring, entered through a segment headed chamfered arch. This front has a slightly raised centre with a chamfered band above. Above again a moulded top with scroll work and a central scroll inscribed 1688. Before the well a pool with battered ashlar sides. Listing NGR: TF0586007190
