Full Description

Public house dating from the 17th century, with 19th alterations. Built of squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and quoins, and features a pantile roof having raised stone coped gables, single ridge and two gable chimney stacks with stone bases and brick shafts. The building has an L-shaped plan form, and is single storey with attics. It has an irregular five-bay front, with a single planked door to the right, and to the left a three-light plain sash under timber lintel, a half-glazed door and two taller three-light plain sashes under 19th century hood moulds. To the roof at eaves level are two gabled two-light dormers with rendered cheeks and boarded fronts. Interior retains chamfered and stopped beams.
