Full Description

[Note - where there is confusion or discrepancy between sources regarding the date of a building, the Royal Commission survey (which is the most detailed and recent) has been taken as the most reliable.] This terrace originally consisted of two rows of houses, although only the west row remains. They were built at various times, the earliest being nos. 14 and 15 (see PRN 38600) which were built in 1826. By 1839 another four houses had been added and by 1851 all were occupied. The west row probably dates to around 1840. They were built by a butcher called Moses Lumby and his son. {1} This two storey row of coursed rubble cottages dates to around 1826 [this date is probably incorrect - see above]. They have modern asbestos pantile roofs, except for no. 1 which retains Welsh slates. They have two iron lamps on brackets. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {2}
