Full Description

A four storey building of late 18th century date. Built of brick (No.3 is rendered) with a slate roof. The ground floor has two modern shop fronts. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1}{2} A wall painting was discovered after the removal of a wooden panel on an upstairs landing of 2 Bridge Street. The painting depicts a winter landscape with a frozen river and figures on the ice and snow, possibly in the style of Pieter Brueghel the Elder. Views of the painting are contained in a set of photographs, taken during a site visit in August 2002. {3}
