Full Description

Grade II listed lychgate war memorial, dating from about 1918. It is red brick and wood and has a gabled thatched roof. The north side has a niche which contains the figure of soldier. For the full description of this listed building please refer to the National Heritage List for England. {1} Weston war memorial is the lychgate at the south-eastern corner of St Mary's churchyard. Commemorating those who died in the First World War and the Second World War, the gate is an oak framed structure with a thatched roof supported on brick flank walls. The 1921 gate has gables with open cusped tracery and bands of foliate and castellated decoration. A niche contains an oak figure of St George. {2}
