Full Description
Grade II listed warehouse and adjoining cottages, now offices, dating from 1842 to 1851 and converted in 1989 to 1990, with additions and alterations. They are red brick with gault brick dressings and gabled slate roofs. For the full description of this listed building please refer to the National Heritage List for England. {1}
The building formed part of John Jekyll's chemical and fertilizer business in the second half of the 19th century. The company operated with various partners and under several names until 1920, when it was taken over by Doughty, Son and Richardson, and later by Fisons Ltd. {2}
