Full Description

Grade II* listed boundary wall, rebuilt in about 1885 to the south of the original line and incorporating two late 13th century archways and an early 17th century gateway. It is dressed stone with slab and pantile copings and is stepped above the archways. A larger archway, to the left, has a 14th century doorway. Both have hoodmoulds. To the right, is a pair of square gatepiers with cornices, wrought-iron gates and overthrow and lamp bracket, which was resited from the Minster forecourt. It has a serpentine layout and is approximately two metres high and 200 metres long. For the full description of this listed building please refer to the National Heritage List for England. {1}
