Full Description

A cottage dating from about 1700 which underwent alterations in about 1800. It was originally mud and stud which was later rendered, and features a steeply hipped corrugated plastic roof, presumably over thatch, with a single ridge stack. It has a T-shaped plan form, being single-storey plus garret, and has a three-bay front with central planked door. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate entry in the National Heritage List for England. {1}{2} The building was demolished in around 1985-6, at about the date of listing. No trace of the former structure can now (2019) be discerned on the Google Maps aerial photographic layer, and the site is now occupied by a new bungalow. The building was subsequently de-listed. {3}{4}{5}
