Full Description

A gateway built in about 1530 and rebuilt in about 1833. It was constructed of greenstone rubble blocks, some ironstone rubble, limestone ashlar and some render. The rectangular top is coped with a band of lozenge decoration and large statue of a crowned lion passant probably sculpted by C. J. Carter of Louth.
