Full Description

A memorial clock tower dating from 1914 to 1919. It has two rectangular steps surmounted by a smaller rectangular ashlar plinth with a shaped plaque to the south side and a moulded band over. It is topped with a tapering rectangular column with a shaped plaque to the south side and shaped recessed panels to the remaining sides. There is a decorated band over this which is surmounted by a rectangular block with a single clock face to each side apart from the north. The cap has a small gable to each face. It is situated on the junction of Fen Lane and Cole Lane. Unveiled in 1923, the memorial consists of a sixteen feet (five metres) high clock tower, made out of buff Derbyshire stone and featuring three clock dials. {2}
