Two cottages, now a single cottage, dating from the mid 18th century. It was originally mud and stud which was encased in brick and has a pantile roof with overhanging eaves and two whitewashed ridge stacks. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} The White Cottage is a single storeyed, three bay house of mud and stud construction, dating to the late 17th century. It originally comprised of a central housebody, a parlour to the west and a service room to the east. The roof was originally hipped. It was divided into three cottages, c.1800. A brick kitchen was added to the north and a brick lean-to to the west in the 20th century. {2}
