Full Description

A farmhouse dating from the 17th century which underwent alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. It was constructed with a timber frame underbuilt in brick and has a hipped thatched roof with a decorative ridge and large ridge stack. The interior retains a substantial amount of timber framing and some late 17th century dado panelling said to come from the demolished Church of St. Martins at Dalderby. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Loose courtyard with four sides of the courtyard formed by working agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {2}
