Full Description

A former school, now hall, with a former schoolmaster's house adjacent, dating from 1857. It was constructed of red brick and has a slate roof with stone tiled coped gables. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} White's 1872 Trade Directory states that the school was built on a site gifted by Edwin Kemp Esq., and was erected at a cost of £253. By 1872 it was attended by around 40 pupils. {2}
