Full Description

Farmhouse, thought to date from the early 18th century. Although named as Moat Hall, the surrounding drainage ditches are thought to be of probable early 18th century date, and not from a genuine medieval moated site (see MLI41265). The farmhouse is built of red brick, and features a pantile roof with brick coped and tumbled gables, and with a single gable stack and single ridge stack. It is of two storeys with garret, and has a four bay front with plinth and first floor band. The main doorway to the left has a glazed 20th century door, and there are two glazing bar sashes to the right and a single glazing bar sash to the left. The first floor has a further two glazing bar sashes with segmental heads to right with blind panel with segmental head beyond, and a blocked opening to left with glazing bar sash with segmental head beyond to left. The dining room features a chamfered beam with stops. The early 18th century roof is intact.
