Full Description
Saltfleetby Hall (later known as Moat Hall), Saltfleetby. Redeveloped 18th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of L plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. Located within or in association with a village. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {1}
Although labelled as a 'moat' on the 1st edition 6" Ordnance Survey County Series map, the water features surrounding Moat Hall are thought to be drainage ditches of probable early 18th century date, and not from a genuine medieval moated site. {2}{3}{4}
