The wall and railings to the forecourt of the Sessions House were built 1841-3 by Charles Kirk of Sleaford. The wall is constructed in ashlar, with moulded copings, and nine piers, which are moulded with Gothic traceried panels. The end and gate piers are chamfered squares with crenellated tops. Those flanking the main entrance are surmounted by heraldic beasts bearing shields, while the intermediate, narrower piers are gabled. The railings are made of cast-iron.
