Historic parkland is depicted in this area on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map, where it is named as The Park. It is not on the 1st edition 6" Ordnance Survey County Series map, suggesting it dates to the turn of the 20th century. {1}{2} The parkland was increasing developed for housing and civic buildings during the course of the 20th century, and is no longer extant. {3}
