Full Description

Three undated pits, one containing a fragment of Romano-British brick which is possibly residual, three linear ditches and a further undated feature, possibly a ditch terminal or pit, revealed during trench evaluation of Norton Bottoms Quarry prior to the proposed quarry extension. Two of the linear ditches (located within Trench 9) provide possible evidence for an enclosure on the site. Cropmarks are located in close proximity, although not in exact alignment, with these linear ditches. {1}{2}
