PRN 37096 A large ditch was uncovered during a watching brief. The ditch contained unabraded Roman pottery but also a single unabraded late Saxon sherd, therefore the date of this feature is uncertain. The ditch may have had a defensive or boundary function. Some residual Roman pottery was recovered from other features on the site. {1}{2}
