PRN 47102 Nos. 53 to 55 complete what is a good grouping of buildings on High Street (with Nos. 51 and 52). Although these buildings are later 19th Century they exhibit two key characteristics of buildings in this part of town - a carriage arch and good surviving 19th Century shopfronts. The paired shopfronts to Nos. 54 and 55 is an attractive survival with box sash windows at first floor level. These buildings are considered to be of Townscape Value within the Conservation Area. {1}
