Full Description
Possible prehistoric activity was identified in this location in December 2007, during trial trenching at the Upper Witham Drainage Board site. The activity comprised a possible cut feature and a layer of sand which may equate with a palaeosol found elsewhere in Lincoln. Several worked flints were recovered from this deposit and the layers above, indicating human activity in the area during the Neolithic-Bronze Age period. {1}{2}
