No archaeological deposits were encountered and much of the central area of the site had already been disturbed. A photograph of the building undergoing renovation can be found in the report.{3}{4} A photographic record of the exterior and interior of the cottage was undertaken in 2007. From the photographic record, it would appear that the chimney on the exterior south wall in the lounge was put up at a later date and is free standing. Some footings were found in several areas of the building and were slightly out of line with the current building, possibly indicating an earlier building on the site. {5}
