Full Description

PRN 64927 Coursed limestone rubble house dating to 1613 although with 19th and 20th century alterations. The interior of the house includes an original inglenook fireplace inscribed "RS 1613" and decorated with hounds and human masks. Other interior features include a 4-centred arched fireplace, chamfered girders and several 17th century stone window surrounds. The 1905 map shows the post office as a completely different building, to the west of the church. {2} Unnamed farmstead, Newton and Haceby. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Loose courtyard with two sides of the courtyard formed by working agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is detached with the long axis facing on to the yard. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association with a village. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {3}
