Full Description

Early 19th century. Two storeys in gault brick; shallow hipped Welsh slate roof with two stacks at ends overhangs wide eaves. Three windows, widely-spaced, with window boxes of the period, painted brick voussoirs, hung sashes with glazing bars. Centre and end pilasters. Plain pilasters to central stone doorcase with hood on brackets, rectangular fanlight. Stone plinth. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} A post-medieval levelling deposit, very likely associated with the construction of Northgate House in the early 19th century, was recorded in April 2008 during trial trenching to the rear of the house. A small assemblage of late post-medieval pottery and clay pipe fragments was recovered from the deposit. {2}{3}
