Full Description
PRN 46750
The site of a country house built by Bennet Langton in 1866-67. Bennet Langton spent £8000 on his new house, which was designed by the Louth architect James Fowler. It stood on a magnificent site on the hill above the village, looking over a valley and towards the south. It was extended in the 1870s. It was demolished in the late 1950s and the Langton family now lives elsewhere in the village. {1} At Langton Cottage.
Outbuildings are found immediately north of the Hall site, the lodge and a number of garden features still remain. {2}
